Blackberry Apps to Help You Plan

Yesterday we featured some of the many wedding related iPhone apps. We didn't want to leave you Blackberry users out in the cold!

Here are some great apps to help with the planning process. Though there are fewer for the Blackberry, a little hunting will yield some useful tools.

 

1. Wedding Checklist - $3.99

This app is a customizable wedding to-do list, with suggested tasks and the option of creating your own. Click here to download.

 

2. TripIt - Travel Organizer - Free

Keep your honeymoon information close at hand with this app, which fetches flight confirmations and the important info directly from your gmail account. Don't have gmail? Simply forward documents to the app, and everything will be added to your Blackberry. All you need to do is remember your toothbrush. Click here to download.

3. Pocket Yoga - $3.99

Future mother in law stressing you out? Download this app, with tons of poses and positive affirmations, and bliss out on the go. Click here to download.

 

4. Twinkle - Free

This cute and handy countdown app is a fun way to keep track of time until your engagement party, shower, and other events. Click here to download.

Seven iPhone Apps for the Busy Bride

How did anyone plan a wedding before the internet? We all love the access to fantastic resources that our computers give us, and smart phones are one more piece of the puzzle. Below is a list of just a few of the wedding planning apps available for the iPhone and iPad. 

1. Wedding Wire - Free 

This app is a companion to the Wedding Wire website and can sync with your web account, giving seamless access to planning tools, like vendor listings, budget and checklists. Click to here download.

2. iWedding Deluxe - $9.99 

It's pricey, but this app offers lots of planning tools, like to-do lists, a budget worksheet and guest tracker. It gets great reviews from users. Click here to download.

3.Wedding Dresses by TheRingBearer.ca - Free

Browse thousands of gowns by theme and designer. or search for your dress based on shape and length. Unfortunately this app does not allow you to save your favorites, so be sure to take notes! Click here to download.

 

 

4. Wedding Vows - $.99

 Browse a selection of wedding vows, and customize to suit your ceremony. Click here to download.

5. Wedding Scan - $0.99

You know those awesome barcode scanners Crate and Barrel gives you to add items to your registry? Wedding Scan turns your phone into one of those. You can add items to your registry from any store, simply by scanning the barcode. Click here to download.

6. iToastUAll - $1.99

 Having trouble coming up with what to say when you address your guests on the big day? iToastUAll offers over 400 toasts, divided by category. Save your picks to the Favorites folder, and you'll never be stuck mumbling into your drink again. Click here to download.

7. Brideology - Free

This fun app is an introduction to Chinese astrology, and tells you how your sign may influence your bridal style. Great for down time between vendor meetings, and for keeping your family and friends entertained while you try on gowns. Click here to download.

While perusing the New York Times recently I stumbled upon a story about one of my favorite sites, Groupon, becoming the platform for a marriage proposal! I knew what that meant, times for another installment of Weddings in the News!

etsy vendor spotlight!

If you're a DIY bride, sometimes the most difficult task is finding the right resources to fit your aesthetic.. especially when you're looking for all those details to not cost you an arm and a leg. While most etsy vendors feature handmade products that you can purchase as-is, some vendors cater to those can-do brides who are looking for the right pieces to make their own crafts. Knot & Bow is a fantastic resource for those crafty elements that really tie together your escort cards, table numbers, gift bags, etc. Of course it helps that their own aesthetic is so adorable!
