New crush: Thread Design. We got a behind the scenes peak into their office right before their pop-up shop got underway. Come on in and we'll show you around!
Go ahead and take a seat and get comfy, because there is lots to tell about Thread, and we got an all access pass. Thread dresses evoke a hip, fashionable, modern sensibility, and everything else about Thread fits right into that branding. They turned their office into a showroom for their pop-up shop last weekend, and believe me it is a gorgeous place to work. If they were renting out desk space, I would be the first to sign up! The space is large and loft-like, with lovely dark stained wood floors, a gorgeous chandelier, and a full wall of windows. Thread uses the space as their design studio, and the inspiration and mood boards that usually cover the walls were stored in their dress store room for the pop-up shop. Thread makes their bridesmaid and wedding dresses to order in the Fashion District in NYC, so their storage is mainly for their party line Thread Social, which is available for immediate purchase.
First glimpse at Thread, then the view as you walk in, and finally the dresses (!) as displayed for the pop-up shop.
Melissa, one of the owners, at her desk. LOVE the lamps they use as "desk lamps"
There are many things that you should know about Thread Design. First being that they have truly fashionable bridesmaids dresses, for which they built their name and notariety. They are awesome. Second being that they have extended their bridesmaid line to include some simpler, more affordable dresses. So your bridesmaids really have no reason to complain. Third is that their bridesmaids dresses were so popular and chic that they created a party dress line called Thread Social. Yes, I kid you not. These bridesmaid dress designers were so sought after they created their party line second because so many people asked them for other dresses. Lastly being that they have just introduced a line of elegant, chic and very simple wedding dresses, all retailing at less than $2000. Mmmhmmm, I told you there was lots of good stuff to know about Thread!
And of course, on to the dresses. Several of the dresses below are new and part of the less expensive bridesmaid line.
And here are two of their very simple, but very chic wedding dresses.
